I tried to read about Ravel today also...

I don't know if I am a kind of a person who is likely to be bored. I would stop writing about Ravel in this blog after today, maybe.

At first, it is possible that Ravel is homosexual person. Actually, some people whispered that might be true because no body was known as his girl friend, and he had never married, but also no one as his boy friend. It's just a mystery. In this point, I guessed Debussy avoid him. I don't know about Debussy, he is gay or not..

Ravel was very short man about 5 feet, and he got sick of verve and brain, and died.
I have to say, from only that kind of superficial information, I can't judge anything. So, I should find a book which has more detail... I will try to find.

Huh! To read such technical book is actually good exercise for me but makes me tired. If I would find something interesting information about Ravel, I will write about it.
Especially, I didn't find why he could compose such random sounds at last, so I want to continue searching about it.

I don't know what I will write tomorrow, but I may write something tomorrow even though I am almost sure nobody reads these!!!

See you.

  1. I am sorry, maybe I will disappoint you, but I love read your blog... And I love Ravel. I read he was spent his time in isolate and practice of his music, I think was so strict with himself adn for this is increible. I Know the Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune of Debussy, gave tendency in his compositions but I think he took a diferent personality, plus him, in later compositions... Sorry for my English!!!
